What makes a great real estate agent?
Choosing a real estate agent is a really important decision; in fact, most people consider their home to be the biggest investment they will ever make. That makes it important to partner with a real estate agent you can trust and who will look out for your best interests and go that extra mile for you. It should be someone who really cares about the outcome and doing the best job for YOU.
What is your perfect Toronto weekend?
I love to explore the city whenever I can. I would start the day with a bike ride along the waterfront for brunch in Bloor West Village, Leslieville or Queen West then I’d hit the driving range at the Docks or play some beach volleyball at Ashbridges Bay. I’d try out a great new restaurant for dinner on Ossington or College, then check out a new band at one of the city’s smaller venues. In the winter I would give anything to head up north for a day of skiing…
Where do you go for inspiration in the city?
Every area of the city is just brimming with inspiration. Some of my favourites are the small art galleries on Queen Street, the design stores on King East, and the serenity of High Park.
What’s your favourite thing about Toronto?
Toronto is the perfect city as it is big enough without being overwhelming. It really does have something for everyone, with each area having its own vibe and energy. It’s also a great place for a foodie like me. With the restaurant industry booming, you can never run out of great new spots to try!
What is your experience like in real estate?
Experience is a key factor when you’re choosing a real estate agent. My experience and expertise stem from a few key things: my passion for Toronto, my immersion in the real estate industry, and my background in marketing and advertising.
Most of all, I treat every client like a friend and always aim to understand their needs to help them achieve their goals. I have had the privilege of growing up with some of Toronto’s best agents and learning from them, including my grandmother, Sheila Gallagher; a 47 year real estate veteran who has inspired me to build a business based on life-long relationships as well as consistent, reliable and personal service.
Cooking for friends and family. Photography. Painting. All music. Anything outdoors – I’ve just started skiing again after many years snowboarding and I’m loving it!
What do you love about working in real estate?
I love my job because I love this city. It is such an exciting time for Toronto with so much growth and development and I’m so happy to be a part of it every day. I take pride in knowing the city, what’s new and what each area has to offer so I can provide the most personal and in-tune service to each of my clients. It’s important to choose a real-estate agent who’s passionate .
What area of the city do you specialize in?
I specialize in all areas and all types of residential properties in this city, from creative downtown condos, to historical homes in Rosedale, to charming semis in Riverdale and Leslieville. I like to think of myself as a chameleon who can relate and adjust to every client and situation.
What’s one of your guilty pleasures?
I have to admit that whenever I’m home working, cooking or entertaining at home, I love to have the Food Network and even the Home and Garden Network on in the background. I also have a passion for all genres of music and love seeing live shows whenever I can.
